Extremely rude driver. I am on holiday visiting friends in Chisinau and Iasi, and I speak limited Romanian (A2/B1 level) - though this has never stopped me from interacting with locals in ANY setting and being understood.
When the driver picked me up, he started asking me questions in Romanian. I told him that my Romanian is not the best, but he continued speaking it super fast as if I had said nothing. I kindly asked him (in Romanian) if he spoke a bit of English and apologised for my Romanian. He replied: “doar romana sau russki”, and then went right back to speaking Romanian super fast, expecting me to understand. He then walked away without even looking me in the eye.
At the border crossing with Romania, I unfortunately picked the wrong exit (my fault), and he came up to me (in Romanian again) saying I should have known which way to exit the building and that now he was late, before going off on a rant to himself. When I apologised (in Romanian) for picking the wrong exit and explained that it was my first time crossing the MD-RO border by bus, he didn’t even look at me or say anything. He just started ranting in Romanian to himself again.
Right after this, once back on the bus, he proceeded to speak to me in a low tone while looking at me from the driver's seat (once again in Romanian), asking me something. When I told him (in Romanian) that I was sorry but did not understand, and asked if he could speak a bit more slowly, he just scoffed, started driving, and murmured something at me in Romanian (once again).
Now, I know not everyone speaks English, and that’s not a problem at all. I don’t expect all Chisinau drivers to be polyglots, but if I am trying my best to communicate in the local language, I expect at least a bit of understanding in return. Romanian is my fifth language, and I try my best to be polite and respect the local culture and people.
I will make sure never to use this bus company again, and I will be telling all my local friends to do the same. A horrible experience, which is sad because the rest of the trip was more than fine.
P.S. I also would have felt much safer if I hadn't seen him using his phone and filling in the passenger list with a pen while driving through Chisinau, barely looking at the traffic. |

Cursa nu a fost efectuată, am luat bilet online, rog să mi se restituie banii, nu mai zic de daunele produse pentru ca aveam bilet la avion și a trebuit să iau taxi până la Chișinău să ajung urgent la aeroport |

Am calatorit cu alta companie, compania TRANSMIXT care a avut amabilitatea sa ma transporte, pentru ca compania Rivan-Tur nu a aparut la ora cursei si la ora anuntata in pagina web a Bileteria. |

Autobuzul nu s-a prezentat și ne-a luat în schimb Transmixt SRL. Mi-au acceptat biletele pt Rivan Tur și nu mi-au cerut bani în plus. Servicii și condiții bune și sosire mai rapidă în Iași. Mulțumesc |

Deci, sunt atat de dezamagita, pentru ca s-a anulat cursa asa din nicaieri, fara ca sa anunte macar din timp, si sa iti spuna sa te duci la alta gara si sa gasesti alt transport, pentru asa ceva ar trebui sa se ofere compensantii pentru daune morale, ca daac aveam un zbor , si intarziam ,la el nimeni nu raspundea de nimic |
